Pressed cane , cane mesh, cane webbing all refer to a pre-woven sheet of caning that gets pressed or wedged into a groove cut into the wood surrounding the seat. Your chair is either pressed cane or hole to hole. Most easily distinguished by how the edge looks: if it is a smooth strip it is likely pressed; if it is broken up by dots or stitches of cane your chair is hole to hole caned.
