These prices are given for an understanding of what to expect. Anticipating average sized chair seats or backs in a basic weave. Larger seats or more complicated patterns will be priced accordingly. Materials not necessarily included.
Most chairs do have secrets! Some, such as loose joints, I am able to address easily; others might require more intensive work.
Strand or hole-to-hole caning
Distinguishable from pressed cane by binding that appears to be stitched. $4.50 per hole up to 77 holes; over 77 will be priced accordingly.
Pressed cane,

Distinguishable from strand or hole to hole caning by the smooth edge binding and regularity of pattern. $125

Rush
Fiber Rush (a paper substitute for
natural Rush, in use since early 1900’s)- $175. Pretwisted Natural Rush $200
Rush on Hitchcockesque
Rush work with protective side rails requires removal and reinstallation of the rails, occasionally with intensive color matching. These can run an additional $25-50 per chair.
Splint
Reed, ash, or hickory in a basket or chevron weave. $175
